Indonesian Embassy Gathers Algerian Entrepreneurs to Boost Export Value

In order to increase trade volume and export from Indonesia to Algeria, Indonesian Ambassador to Algeria, Ahmad Salim Niam, continues to make innovation. After gathering politicians and policymakers, this time he gathered the Algerian entrepreneurs from various fields.

The event, which was held in order to invite Algerian entrepreneurs to import Indonesian products,was held in a southern Algeria city, Biskra. Attending the event were Algerian entrepreneurs from Biskra of Algerian entrepreneur organization.

“I want the bond between the two countries to be closer, marked with progressive economic relations. The potential and new market of Algeria are great momentums for Indonesia. That is why we gather the entrepreneurs, to market Indonesian products,” said the ambassador during the meeting in Biskra, Monday (3/27/2012).

The meeting, attended by 100 entrepreneurs from various fields, stimulated Algerian entrepreneurs to see and visit Indonesia. According to the plan, the entrepreneurs who are importing and exporting to Indonesia will have field trips to the country in mid-April.

“I think that the economy of Indonesia is fascinating. Not only is it stable from crisis, like in Europe, it is also developing. This is the right time for Algerian entrepreneurs to explore Indonesian market and products,” said one of the biggest Algerian entrepreneurs from Biskra, Farid.
 
Support from the Governor of Biskra

Efforts to have business relations between Indonesia and Algeria have received support not only from the central government. A number of governors have stated their support. For example, the meeting was fully supported and backed up by the Governor of Biskra, MasoedDjari.

During the meeting of Ambassador Niam and MasoudDjari, the governor gave an offer of preparedness directly to export dates to Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Algerian party from Biskra offered its participation in construction project for public housing, which amounts to millions.

“I am glad to meet the ambassador, and I hope our cooperation and relations can be realized soon. We are ready to export dates as requested by Indonesia, but we also need Indonesian companies to invest in Algeria,” he said. (Source: KBRI Alger)
